Professional credentials
I have a BA in Social Communication from the Universidad Católica del Uruguay, with 30 years of professional work advising organizations on their strategic communication needs. I was a professor at the Catholic University for 15 years and then another 5 years at the ORT University of Uruguay. Initially I worked as a communicator in the agricultural sector and later in business consulting as part of the business consultancy agency Viña & Asociados, where I became a partner, specializing in management, quality, leadership, team development and communication issues, participating in projects in Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.
In 1999, I founded Improfit, in response to the incipient need of the Uruguayan market, to professionalize corporate communication. In the beginning, I worked in partnership with the Compás Advertising Agency, of which, as General Account Director, I designed and executed advertising strategies and campaigns for brands such as Fagor, Dobarro & Pichel, Universidad Católica del Uruguay, Ministerio de Salud Pública and UTE.
For 21 years, while working at Improfit, I promoted the development of professional public relations, responding to the new needs of the market, with strategic consulting services, management and production of internal and external communication. From this work platform, I developed communicational products and services that were chosen by companies such as Conaprole, Deloitte, Endeavor, Grin, Itaú, Mapfre, MercadoLibre, Microsoft, Montes del Plata, Movistar, Nestlé, OrdersYa, Pluna, Roche, Sanofi, Uber, Timac Agro, Unilever, among others.
In 2020 I sold my shares in Improfit while starting a new professional stage, with my own name as a brand, responding to market changes, with a service approach tailored to each client. This new framework allows me to maintain and enhance my original vocation and drive as a consultant that I get involved with clients personally, taking their objectives as my own, providing analysis, strategic vision, creativity and taking advantage of my accumulated experience of 30 years of work.
